Cara Tome has been acting for 15 years, and will graduate with honors from The Hartt School at The University of Hartford in acting, with a minor in psychology. She loved the intellectual challenge that school provided her, and is excited to begin the next step in her professional career. 

Cara is a multifaceted artist with a focus in acting. She has had her poetry published in Aerie, The University of Hartford’s literary magazine, and several of her monologues and scenes have been performed by her peers. Directing is also a passion of hers. Recently, she was elected to direct and organize an SNL-themed comedy cabaret, which successfully raised money to support her class. For her honors thesis, she directed Machinal by Sophie Treadwell, a fascinating play that further facilitated her artistic growth.

She is often cast as characters that hold a lot of power. Contrastingly, she is also known to play awkward comedic types. She has a unique knack for crowdwork, which she attributes to her innate understanding of human behavior studied in her psych minor. Recently, Cara played Usher/God/Understanding in Everybody, which is a great example of her full range.
